Le chanteur Eddy Grant menace Damon Albarn de poursuite judiciaire pour plagiat de l'un de ses morceaux. En effet le single Stylo de Gorillaz semble étrangement ressembler à l'un des morceaux de 1977 du papi-chanteur, Time Wrap. Là où certain verrons du sampling, lui y voit une atteinte à ses droits d'auteur.
